REGIONAL SUPREME WINNER REGISTERED MASTER BUILDERS HOUSE OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2026
REGIONAL AWARDS WON: Regional Supreme Winner | Regional Category Winner | Regional Craftsmanship Award | Interior Design Award | Kitchen Excellence Award | Smart Home Award | Gold Award
REGION & CATEGORY: Waikato | New Home $1.5 Million – $2 Million
Set within the coastal landscape of Raglan, Manuka Retreat is a refined response to its setting, designed to embrace the harbour outlook while creating a home that feels warm, grounded and beautifully considered.
Strong architectural forms are softened by a rich palette of natural materials. Rumbled brick, timber, natural stone and venetian plaster bring texture and warmth throughout, while expansive glazing and carefully positioned openings frame the surrounding landscape and draw natural light deep into the home.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen makes a confident statement. Bold quartzite stone brings energy and movement to the space, balanced by dark-stained oak cabinetry, brass detailing and feature pendant lighting. Sculptural yet highly functional, it sets the tone for the considered material palette carried throughout the home.
Recognised with seven regional awards, the judges described Manuka Retreat as an “extraordinary home”, praising the way craftsmanship, interior design and smart home technology come together with remarkable consistency and sophistication.
A celebration of exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design and considered living.

Hear about people’s experiences working with us
“We are proud owners of a White Wood Homes house and land package. The building of our home was stress free due to Malachi, Hannah and their team of builders and tradies. Hannah worked with us to ensure that we were happy with interior and exterior designs we chose. There were no hidden costs and our quote came in on budget.”
“We have known Malachi Farrant for several years and have worked with him on a number of projects over the last three years on our subdivision. We have found Malachi to be honest, hardworking and competent in both practical and administrative tasks. Malachi sets high standards for himself, staff and sub-contractors and as a result achieves a very high level end product. We have no hesitation in recommending White Wood Homes to any prospective clients seeking an honest, efficient and reliable building company to deal with.”
“As first time new home builders, we were embarking on a journey of the unknown but Malachi made the entire process seamless and stress free. Malachi and the team worked in partnership with us from start to finish. At the outset they helped us select the right section, and with an eye for detail worked to provide solutions right through to the finishing touches that resulted in a bespoke home that really suits our needs and that we absolutely love. Not only is their workmanship of a high standard but importantly for us, their efficient project management, honesty and integrity meant all the difference.”
